The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation is dedicated to not only nurturing and enhancing Dallas Independent School District's Woodrow Wilson High and its eight lower feeder schools, but also improving the public education community of Dallas, Texas.
The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation serves as a central point for fundraising, grants, scholarships, and other programs and projects that support and nurture Dallas Independent School District's Woodrow Wilson High School's feeder pattern. It is part of the vision of the Foundation to collaborate with other individuals and organizations that are equally dedicated to the advancement of these schools, and the broad public school community of Dallas, Texas.
The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation is participating in the Communities Foundation of North Texas' North Texas Giving Day.
All donations received from this year’s North Texas Giving Day will be used to help support our Teacher Impact Fund. Thanks to community supporters and donors, we have continued to grow our grant program since its initial founding in 2019. The program honors the WWHSCF Founding Vice President Emeritus, Gary Griffith, a Class of 66 Woodrow alum, a fellow Hall of Fame Member, former Dallas City Council member, and outstanding community volunteer and leader. Our grant program continues to honor Gary’s continued community impact and service by celebrating and awarding our feeder pattern’s innovative teachers, staff and community leaders who are inspiring the next generation of talent. Every campus in the Woodrow feeder pattern has received a grant that has either piloted, deepened, or expanded impactful classroom and campus projects. This year we are budgeted to issue more than $100,000 in grants within our East Dallas public schools. We are opening the teacher grant application portal this month and are excited about our commitment to the community.
