Mission Statement
Dallas United Crew's (DUC) mission is to unite and empower Dallas through rowing and dragon boating. DUC is the only inclusive rowing organization in the southern region through its programs and scholarships for underserved youth, wheelchair veterans and breast cancer survivors. As North Texas' largest program of its kind, we've been making a difference since 2002. We teach people to push themselves beyond the ordinary and discover what they are capable of when working as a team. Support the programs of Dallas United Crew and help empower more teens, adults and para-athletes to reach their full potential.
1. Fitness benefits: rowing /dragon boating are a low-impact non-weight bearing sports that exercises all major muscle groups with significant weight management and cardiovascular benefits.
2. Stress reduction and mental health benefits: consistent rhythmic activity, combined with the connection to nature, has been reported to reduce stress
3. Collegiate scholarships: large number of college opportunities for our youth rowers
Dallas United Crew's mission is to unite and empower Dallas through rowing and dragon boating.
Dallas United Crew is committed to making diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority, and we are dedicated to continue to grow and evolve as we invest more in these efforts. We pledge to devote time and resources to make a lasting impact and be an agent of positive change in our rowing and dragon boating community and broader society.
