Help Us Put the Next Survivor in the Boat
There’s something special that happens when a breast cancer survivor steps into a dragon boat for the first time.
She may come for the exercise, the camaraderie, or simply to try something new. But somewhere between learning to paddle and finding her rhythm with 19 other women, something bigger begins to happen. She becomes part of PINK.
Dallas United Crew PINK brings breast cancer survivors together on White Rock Lake through fitness, friendship and fun. On the water, we build strength and challenge ourselves. Off the water, we build friendships and a community that extends far beyond the boat.
This summer, that community took us all the way to France, where PINK joined thousands of breast cancer survivor paddlers from around the world at the 2026 IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival. We raced on a glacial lake at the foot of the French Alps and experienced the incredible worldwide sisterhood that has grown around this sport.
But for every PINK paddler who made it to France, there was once a first day on the water, a first paddle and an open seat in a dragon boat.
Now we’re thinking about the women who will come next.
This North Texas Giving Day, our goal is to raise $16,500 for a new 20-person dragon boat, creating more opportunities to welcome survivors onto the water and into our PINK community.
Those 20 seats represent much more than places in a boat. They are places where strength, friendship, confidence and adventure can begin.
