Hi, I'm Ellie Warheit. I've been rowing with DUC for 3 years now but I just joined the U17 high school team a few months ago. The transition from middle school rowing to high school rowing was the best it could've been. One of the reasons that it went so smoothly was because we had all of the equipment we needed. This made the transition much easier because I didn’t have to worry about getting used to new equipment or not having the right resources. Instead, I was able to focus on getting to know my new teammates, adjusting to the practices, learning what was expected of me, and becoming more comfortable with the team. This is thanks to the funds raised on North Texas Giving Day. Without them, rowing would be much less accessible and I likely would not have aquired the love that I have for my sport and my team.
