Hidden Pastures is a horse-centered nonprofit farm in Wylie, Texas where animals, nature, and community come together to create meaningful experiences for youth, veterans, first responders, families, and individuals seeking connection, confidence, and belonging.

Our horses are at the heart of this work. Through hands-on experiences with horses, farm animals, gardens, and the rhythm of farm life, participants have opportunities to slow down, build trust, practice responsibility, and connect with themselves, others, and the world around them.

Many of the people we serve are navigating stress, transition, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, isolation, or other hard seasons of life. Hidden Pastures offers a non-clinical, outdoor space where people can experience connection, confidence, and community through meaningful interaction with animals and nature.

Mission

Hidden Pastures creates accessible, horse-centered farm experiences that help youth, veterans, first responders, families, and community members build connection, confidence, responsibility, and belonging.

Needs

Hidden Pastures is growing, and our greatest needs are the resources that keep our animals healthy, our programs accessible, and our farm safe and welcoming for the community.

Animal Care

Our horses and farm animals require daily, year-round care. Donations help provide hay, feed, veterinary care, farrier care, bedding, grooming supplies, enrichment items, fencing, shelter maintenance, and pasture upkeep.

Program Access

We serve youth, teens, veterans, first responders, families, and individuals who benefit from a steady place to connect and grow. Donations help provide scholarships and reduced-cost opportunities so financial barriers do not prevent participation.

Farm and Facility Support

Safe, functional spaces are essential for both people and animals. We need support for fencing, gates, shade, seating, barn repairs, pasture improvements, outdoor gathering spaces, garden areas, and program supplies.

Youth and Teen Programs

Hidden Pastures offers hands-on opportunities for young people to build responsibility, confidence, communication, and connection through animal care, farm projects, gardening, and group experiences.

Veterans and First Responders

We provide community-based, horse-centered experiences for veterans and first responders who benefit from connection, peer support, outdoor space, and meaningful time with animals.

Volunteer and Community Projects

Volunteers help keep Hidden Pastures running. Donations support tools, supplies, project materials, and training resources for families, groups, scouts, and community partners who serve alongside us.

Our North Texas Giving Day goal is $15,000.

This goal will help us care for the herd, provide accessible programs, and strengthen the farm spaces where people and animals connect.

Equity Statement

At Hidden Pastures, we believe people connect, learn, and grow in different ways. Some people find connection through horses. Some through caring for animals. Some through working with their hands, being outdoors, or simply having a steady place to show up and belong.

We are committed to creating accessible horse-centered farm experiences for people from a wide range of backgrounds, including youth, veterans, first responders, families, neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, and people who may not feel comfortable in traditional settings.

Our goal is to reduce barriers to participation by offering supportive program structures, scholarship opportunities when funding allows, and a welcoming environment where people are met with dignity and respect.

We believe growth happens through connection, not performance. At Hidden Pastures, people do not need to be fixed. They deserve opportunities for confidence, responsibility, community, and belonging.
