Cost Should Not Be the Reason Someone Cannot Participate

At Hidden Pastures, we believe meaningful experiences with animals, the farm, and our community should be available to people from many different circumstances.

But we also know that program fees can become a barrier.

For some families, the challenge may be temporary financial hardship. For others, medical expenses, disability-related costs, caregiving responsibilities, or other life circumstances may leave little room for an additional program expense.

That is why Hidden Pastures created the Access Fund.

The Access Fund provides need-based assistance to help reduce the cost of eligible programs when finances would otherwise prevent someone from participating.

We intentionally look beyond income alone.

A family may technically fall above a traditional income threshold while still carrying significant medical or support-related expenses. A veteran or adult navigating a difficult season may not fit neatly into a standard assistance category. A family may simply need temporary help to keep a child involved in a program that has become meaningful to them.

We want people to be able to share as much or as little about their circumstances as they feel comfortable sharing.

Our goal is not to decide whether someone is “deserving enough.”

Our goal is to understand whether financial assistance can help make meaningful participation possible.

The Access Fund may support children, teens, adults, veterans, families, and individuals with disabilities or support needs across a range of Hidden Pastures programs.

Assistance may help with private sessions, group programs, farm-based learning experiences, family programs, or other eligible opportunities.

Every gift to the Access Fund helps open the gate a little wider.
