Build What Comes Next
Hidden Pastures is growing, and our ability to serve people well increasingly depends on having a safe, reliable space for equine and farm-based programs.
Today, many of our programs are limited by weather, ground conditions, heat, and the availability of appropriate outdoor working space. In North Texas, that can mean canceled sessions, muddy footing, shortened programs, and fewer opportunities for people to participate consistently.
Our next major step is the construction of a 100' × 220' outdoor arena.
The arena will provide a dedicated space for riding lessons, equine-assisted learning and wellbeing programs, youth and adult programming, veteran-focused opportunities, and other farm-based experiences.
This project is about more than adding infrastructure.
It is about creating a safer, more consistent environment for both people and horses. It will help reduce weather-related disruptions, improve footing and program reliability, and give Hidden Pastures greater capacity to serve children, teens, adults, families, veterans, and people with disabilities or support needs.
We are approaching this project the same way we approach much of life at Hidden Pastures: hands-on.
Hidden Pastures will provide the labor for construction. We have already worked to reduce costs through a material arrangement with a local quarry, and we will complete as much of the site preparation, fencing, grading, and construction ourselves as possible.
That means donated dollars can go directly toward the materials and equipment needed to build the arena.
The full vision for this area includes a future perimeter track, but Phase 1 is focused on completing the arena itself — including site preparation, base and footing materials, fencing, drainage, gates, and essential construction supplies.
The full project is expected to cost approximately $35,000, with future improvements completed in later phases. Our North Texas Giving Day goal is to raise $15,000 toward Phase 1.
These funds will help move the arena from plan to reality and create a dependable space that can support the work happening at Hidden Pastures today while preparing us for responsible growth in the future.
We are not building something bigger simply for the sake of growth.
We are building the space Hidden Pastures needs to continue serving people safely, intentionally, and responsibly for years to come.
You help provide the materials. We’ll do the work. Together, we can build what comes next.
