What We Do
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul FW Diocesan Council is a service organization that provides assistance to those who have fallen on times of hardship or personal crisis. COMPASSION: Our unique approach is a one-on-visit in the comfort of their own homes when possible, listening carefully to their concerns, getting to know them, hearing their stories. HOPE: we offer housing and utility assistance when possible, resources for food, or financial coaching. WARMHEARTEDNESS: Vincentians have a deep desire to help every personal encounter: financial couching when needed, access to free prescription medication for those without insurance, offering emotional and loving support.
Currently there are 13 conferences, throughout Tarrant, Denton, and Parker counties, with over 400 Vincentians serving neighbors in need. Several conferences also offer food pantries, clothing, and school supplies.
