Recently, a neighbor needed car repair. The initial estimate was over $4,000, but a home visit with the family resulted in recommendations on various resources which brought the repair cost under $2,000. Solutions like this take time, but Vincentians will take the time needed to work with a neighbor to find viable solutions to everyday problems.
The Fort Worth Council supports 13 Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conferences in Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield, Carrollton, Flower Mound, White Settlement and Weatherford. A personal visit with a family in the privacy of their own home provides the friendly atmosphere that brings hope and, sometimes, financial assistance with partial rent, utilities, food, medicine and other needs. The Council also provides low cost loans to qualified borrowers and we support the Dallas free pharmacy for those without medical insurance. There are three (3) food panties, located in Fort Worth, Mansfield and Carrollton. For more information, come visit us at:
