Heritage Farmstead Museum (HFM) is a dynamic history education resource and historic farm site connecting all people to rural life experiences.
Core programs include school field trips, tours and exhibits for all ages exploring rural life on the Blackland Prairie. The museum is responsible for the protection/preservation/restoration of a 4-acre farm site, historic house and 15 original structures built in 1891 and serves as a beloved community venue for large community gatherings and special events for North Texas.
HFM served over 35,000 visitors in 2022, 30% of our visitors are school-age children, 75% are families.
