Every child deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, pursue their passions and build a future filled with possibility.

At Solar Prep for Girls and Solar Prep for Boys, those opportunities come to life every day through hands-on STEAM learning, inspiring educators, enriching student experiences and a school community that believes every child can thrive.

Friends of Solar Prep exists to fuel those opportunities.

As an independent nonprofit supporting both campuses, we invest in the experiences and resources that help make Solar Prep extraordinary, going beyond what traditional public education funding can provide. The innovative STEAM and social-emotional learning model at Solar requires additional investment beyond district funding, and Friends of Solar Prep ensures students and teachers have the resources they need to succeed.

This North Texas Giving Day, our goal is to raise $150,000 to directly support more than 1,175 students and 80 educators across both Solar Prep campuses.

Transformational Student Experiences

From debate competitions and orchestra to modern band, field trips, college visits and hands-on learning opportunities, your gift helps students discover new passions, build confidence and experience learning beyond the classroom.

Inspiring Learning Environments

Support libraries filled with engaging books, innovative STEAM labs and classrooms equipped with tools that spark curiosity, creativity and problem-solving.

Great schools are built by great teachers. Your generosity helps provide professional development, conferences and learning opportunities that allow our educators to continue inspiring every student who walks through their classroom doors.

Programs like the Peace Pantry help ensure Solar families have access to essential resources so students can arrive at school ready to learn, grow and thrive.

The greatest need changes throughout the school year. An unrestricted gift to the Friends of Solar Prep General Fund allows school leadership to invest where students and teachers need it most across both campuses.

If there is a particular initiative you're passionate about—Student Enrichment, Library Books, Classroom & STEAM Supplies, Educator Enrichment or the Peace Pantry—you are welcome to designate your gift by noting your preference when you donate.
