Every day, Black women carry the weight of showing up fully in spaces that weren't always built with them in mind, like navigating bias, microaggressions, and a quiet kind of isolation that's rarely acknowledged, let alone addressed.

By July 2026, headlines called Black women's unemployment picture "improved." The real story: 454,000 Black women had left the workforce entirely, and employment among Black women had actually fallen by 212,000 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, via Fortune). Progress on paper, exhaustion underneath.

That's why we created Unmuted — six times a year, free and open to any Black woman who needs it. Together, we:

  • Name our experiences without fear of dismissal
  • Learn healthy coping strategies and self-soothing techniques
  • Connect with a community that sees, hears, and validates us

Unmuted stays free because donors keep the door open. Your gift on North Texas Giving Day sponsors access, for anyone who shows up needing this space.
