Lisa's Plano Civic Chorus Fundraiser- 2026!

If you ever wonder what I do in my spare time, this is it. 

I sing.

I sing with Plano Civic Chorus, and now that PCC has a Summer Women’s Chorus, I get to sing pretty much all year long. And honestly, I can’t imagine a better way to spend my time.

There is something almost magical about standing in a room with dozens of other people and, for a little while, becoming one voice. We breathe together. We listen to each other. We work hard. We laugh. Sometimes we struggle. And then, somehow, all those individual voices come together and create something none of us could create alone.

A community choir brings together people from all walks of life. We don't have to agree about everything. In fact, there are plenty of things we can—and do—disagree about. But when we sing, none of that matters.

For those few hours, we have a shared purpose: to create something beautiful. For ourselves. For each other. And eventually, for the people sitting in the audience listening to us.

That feeling is hard to describe unless you've experienced it. It is connection. It is belonging. It is joy. And, for me, it is one of the things that makes life richer.

That’s why I’m asking you to support something that means so much to me.

Funding for the arts is becoming increasingly difficult to find, and community organizations like ours depend on people who believe that music matters.
