Rowing changed my life and career in fitness. As a coach, athlete, and community builder, I’ve seen firsthand how the sport of rowing opens doors—building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and even pathways to college scholarships.

Dallas United Crew (DUC) has given me the opportunity to not only grow as a leader but also to introduce young people—especially those from underrepresented communities—to a sport they might never have imagined themselves in. I’ve watched students discover their strength, find their voice, and realize that they belong on the water and in spaces that once felt out of reach.

That’s why I’m fundraising for DUC this North Texas Giving Day. Every gift helps us put more oars in hands, break barriers, and build a stronger, healthier, more inclusive community.
