For more than 40 years, Humane Society of Dallas County (HSDC)-formerly known as Dog & Kitty City—has been a safe haven for homeless pets. With a no-kill philosophy at our core, every animal who enters our care has a home with us for as long as it takes to find their forever family. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we rely entirely on the generosity of individuals and businesses like you to continue this lifesaving work.

Unlike many assume, HSDC is not affiliated with any national or government agency, nor do we receive city, state, or federal funding. Every single gift comes directly from our community - and 100% of those dollars stay right here in Dallas, saving local dogs and cats in need.
