Pork Rind's Story

This year, this fund made a profound difference for one dog in particular: Pork Rind. He came to us in the beginning of 2025 as a stray from a municipal shelter, severely emaciated at just 38 pounds. He was Heartworm positive and suffered from severe Demodectic mange, with no hair and skin that was dry, splitting, bleeding, and covered in painful, crusty wounds. 

Thanks to the support of donors like you, we were able to provide Pork Rind with the intensive care he needed. Today, he weighs a healthy 63 pounds, has successfully completed his Heartworm treatment, and his skin has fully recovered. His transformation is a testament to the power of a second chance.
