🐾 Help me support Doodle Rock Rescue! 🐾

Since Alex and I moved to Dallas in 2025, we’ve had the privilege of fostering with Doodle Rock Rescue, and it has become something really special to us. We’ve opened our home to dogs who have been abused, abandoned by their owners, bred over and over before being dumped, surrendered to shelters, or simply given up when someone decided they no longer wanted a dog.

Some of our sweet foster pups -- Trisha, Kru, & Rosie -- came to us scared and unsure of the world around them. Getting to watch them slowly come out of their shells and become the silly, playful, cuddly, loving dogs they were always meant to be has been incredibly rewarding. They have all since been adopted into wonderful forever homes, and although saying goodbye is always bittersweet, knowing we got to be a small part of their second chance makes it completely worth it. Our own pups, Maple and Finley, have also loved having a temporary new friend to play with along the way. 🐶

That’s why I’m raising funds for Doodle Rock Rescue, a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue that has rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed 2,300+ dogs from 40+ shelters across Texas since 2017.

Many of these dogs are pulled from high-kill shelters or arrive with serious medical needs, including broken bones, heart conditions, severe infections, parvo, distemper, and even the need for hospice care. Medical costs can range from $350 to more than $5,000 per dog, and Doodle Rock is currently facing a $62,000 funding gap toward its annual operating costs.

Because Doodle Rock is 100% volunteer-run and donor-supported, every donation helps give another dog the medical care, food, training, safe foster home, and love they need to get their own second chance. ❤️
