Fort Worth will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I now call Houston home, there is one North Texas project I remain especially passionate about, and that’s the National Juneteenth Museum.

I cannot wait for the day its doors open in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside, welcoming people not just from North Texas, but from Houston, across Texas and the nation!

That is what makes this project so meaningful to me. NJM may have a home in Fort Worth, but the history it will preserve and the stories it will tell belong to all of us.

Juneteenth is an American story. And this Museum has the opportunity to become a national destination for history, culture, reflection and celebration, while also creating meaningful investment and opportunity in the Historic Southside.

So, even from a few hours away, I’m proud to continue supporting a vision I strongly believed in while living in North Texas. Through NJM, I’ve had opportunities I never imagined, and I’m also helping a dream come true.

Please join me on this North Texas Giving Day, or feel free to join me earlier than that!

Whether it’s $5, $25, $105 or $1,500, every gift helps move the National Juneteenth Museum closer to opening its doors and sharing the Juneteenth story with the world.
