“Strengthening Families while Changing Generations

Hello, 

My name is Verna Farver. I serve as the Engagement Specialist/Co-Chaplain/Facilitator at New Day Services. Why New Day you may ask? My "Why" is out of obedience to serve others with every part of me by letting them know that they are heard, seen, valued, understood, resilience, and can overcome any obstacle set before them. My passion to teach has far extended anything that I could have imagined as I so graciously get to do weekly with our programs. We help parents who are experiencing separation from their children because of their involvement with Child Protective Services. Many of our parents need guidance, mentorship, and chaplaincy to help them become better parents and we provide them with those new skills and tools at New Day Services. Our parents come to us broken, and in despair as they are trying to navigate such circumstances. However; after the 10-week classes; they leave feeling empowered, as an overcomer, and believed in. We have Mothers and Fathers come back to give their testimonies as to how what we do at New Day Services made a world of difference in their cases, lives, and the lives of their children. Please help us to continue to be able to provide the classes and resources as we strive to restore, create, and strengthen loving homes for our families. Thank you in advance!
