Micaela Rusiecki for Chamberlain Ballet 2025

Hi! My name is Micaela, I’m 14 years old and a freshman in high school. This is my second year as a Senior Company member at Chamberlain Ballet, and my third season dancing with the school. This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to train with the Philadelphia Ballet 5 weeks Summer Intensives. I’ve been dancing since I was 2 and have been blessed to be a part of Chamberlain Ballet for the last few years. 

Chamberlain Ballet is a nonprofit pre-professional dance company in Plano, Texas, and it has become a family to me.

Thanks to the support of generous donors, Chamberlain Ballet is able to stage full-scale theatrical productions, provide world-class instruction to students, and share the arts with underprivileged and underserved members of our community. 

I deeply cherish my time with Chamberlain Ballet because it continuously pushes me to evolve both technically and artistically as a dancer. It fuels my passion, challenges me to surpass my limits, and surrounds me with an incredible community of dedicated teachers and inspiring friends who share the same unwavering love for dance.

This year, I’m especially thrilled about our upcoming performance— The Nutcracker, which has always held a special place in my heart. There’s something truly magical about stepping into such a timeless story, bringing its characters to life on stage, and sharing that enchantment with our audience. I’m also eagerly anticipating our spring production, where I’ll have the opportunity to take on new roles and embrace fresh artistic challenges.
