Tatum’s fundraiser for Dallas United crew

I started rowing with Dallas United Crew this past summer, and it has already had a huge impact on me. At first, rowing was completely new and intimidating, but DUC gave me a welcoming, supportive environment where I could challenge myself and grow. Through the practices, I’ve learned discipline, resilience, and how important teamwork is because in a boat, every person has to trust and rely on each other.

Fundraising is important to me because I want to give back to the team that has already given me so much. The equipment, coaching, and opportunities DUC provides are what make it possible for new rowers like me to discover this sport. By fundraising, I can help ensure future athletes get the same chance I did to be part of such a motivating and uplifting community.

Rowing has pushed me out of my comfort zone and shown me what I’m capable of, and I’m excited to keep growing with DUC while helping others join this incredible team.
