Fund the Future of White Rock Lake Park

I am the Executive Director of White Rock Lake Conservancy, we work with the Park Department to identify, develop, and, most importantly, fund raise for crucial improvements at White Rock Lake Park. The current project is a new playground at the Stone Tables picnic area.

We have set a goal on North Texas Giving Day of bringing in donations from over 200 donors and $80,000. This is almost twice what we made on North Texas Giving Day last year but, I know, with your help we can do it! Will you help me bring in at least $5,000 by Sept 18th by donating on this page? 

Mark and I took our own kids, now ages 19 and 21, to the current playground, so you can imagine how outdated it is now. Please join us in supporting the park we love by donating today. And if you are willing to give more I'm happy to share how to have your name in the park!

ABOUT WRLC AND THE PLAYGROUND:

WRLC has set a goal on North Texas Giving Day of bringing in donations from over 200 donors and $80,000, and I want you to help! All monies will go directly to the new playground at the stone tables "park within the park". The natural design of the playground will create a beautiful space for kids and adults to enjoy the park. It will feature a shaded stone podium and drinking fountain to serve as a central gathering space and provide a cool respite from the Texas sun. Each of 3 play zones feature a stone bench for caregivers to keep an eye on their children and make their own connections with a pathway around the area for small bikes and scooters to go round and round. The entire area will receive over 60 trees and 12,650 square feet of sun/shade grasses complete the inviting space.
