Did you know that White Rock Lake Park is a city park maintained by the City of Dallas Park Dept?Just like your neighborhood park. The park dept budget does not allow funding for all the improvements the park requires. The city relies on private support for many parks which is where the White Rock Lake Conservancy comes in.
The Conservancy works in partnership with the Park Department to pinpoint, develop and fundraise for needed improvements in White Rock Lake Park. The Conservancy's current project is a new playground at the Stone Tables picnic area.
A custom-designed play area by MESA Design at the Stone Tables at White Rock Lake will have a natural look and feel that blends well with the 1930s flagstone motif that the picnic tables and pavilion have. Durable, innovative Kompan playground equipment will offer inclusive play opportunities for children of varying ages and abilities, many of whom are unable to fully utilize the existing outdated, inaccessible, and unsafe equipment.

The mission of the Conservancy is to enhance the identity, beauty, and safety of White Rock Lake Park in partnership with Dallas Park and Recreation and the surrounding community. The Conservancy supports improvement projects deemed vital to the future integrity of the park through major fundraising initiatives and development expertise.
The final phase of the Stone Tables area is an updated playground. With your donations, the Conservancy has designed and will now construct a new playground in the same area. We have raised $300,000 of the $1,000,000 needed to install drainage, a shade structure, trees and new playground equipment.
