Did you know that White Rock Lake Park is a city park maintained by the City of Dallas Park Dept?Just like your neighborhood park. The park dept budget does not allow funding for all the improvements the park requires. The city relies on private support for many parks which is where the White Rock Lake Conservancy comes in.
The Conservancy works in partnership with the Park Department to pinpoint, develop and fundraise for needed improvements at White Rock Lake. The Conservancy's current projects are a new playground at the Stone Tables picnic area and new marquees at Winsted and Lake Highlands Drive.
The current playground equipment is well past its lifespan of 15 years! The Conservancy has hired landscape architecture firm, MESA Design, to design a new playground with a shade structure and we are in the fundraising phase of the project. Donate today to help create an area for kids age 2-12 to play while people of all ages enjoy a shady spot to rest, stretch, walk and enjoy the outdoors.
The Conservancy is partnering with other lake organizations to share the cost of two new marquees at park entrances. The new electronic marquess will allow more information about events at the lake to be shared with the community.
Fund the future of White Rock Lake Park by donating today!
