Dallas Junior Wheelchair Mavericks - Owen Horsley

For the past 11 seasons, Owen has had the incredible opportunity to play with the Dallas Junior Wheelchair Mavericks. Looking back, I can honestly say this program has been one of the biggest blessings in his life.

Through the Mavericks, Owen has found connection and community. He’s built friendships that feel like family and has had mentors who have poured into him and helped shape the young man he is becoming. On the court, he’s learned grit, perseverance, and teamwork. Off the court, he’s gained the confidence and courage to chase big dreams.

This team is where his athletic journey began, and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities for his future. Watching Owen grow—both as an athlete and as a person—through the Mavericks has been nothing short of amazing.
