For most kids, playing sports with your friends just means heading to the local rec center or joining a team at school. For adaptive athletes, it’s a bit more complicated. Specialized equipment can cost up to 15 TIMES more than equipment for most other sports, and finding other teams to compete with requires cross-country travel. We’re fortunate to live in an area where Evie and Will can learn from the best of the best as part of the Dallas Junior Wheelchair Mavs basketball program, one of the largest youth wheelchair basketball programs in the nation.
