Hi! My name is Emani’ Copeny, and I’m so excited and honored to be a 2026 Brown Girls Do Ballet Ambassador!
I started dancing when I was 3 years old, and ballet has become so much more than just dance for me. It has taught me discipline, confidence, perseverance, and the importance of believing in myself—even when something feels hard.
Being a Brown Girls Do Ballet Ambassador means so much to me because I get to be part of a community that celebrates representation, diversity, and belonging in ballet. I want other young Brown girls to see dancers who look like them and know that there is a place for them in ballet, too.
This year, I’m excited to use my voice, share my journey, connect with other dancers, and help encourage the next generation of Brown ballerinas to dream big and take up space on every stage.
Why I’m Fundraising
As part of my Ambassador journey, I’m raising funds to support the mission of Brown Girls Do Ballet and help create more opportunities for young dancers.
Every donation—big or small—helps support a community that reminds girls like me that we belong, we are seen, and our dreams matter.
My fundraising goal is $500 by August 28th, and I would be so grateful for your support!
Whether you donate, share my page, or simply cheer me on, thank you for being part of my journey.
Keep dancing. Keep dreaming. Keep shining.
Much Gratitude,
Emani’
