A Day in Boarding!
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Texas Husky RescueWe need money for boarding costs to make up for not having foster families to care for our huskies!
$1,155
raised by 9 people
$930 goal
Boarding costs for each dog average $25-30 each night, and a LOT more for medical boarding which is often required. My goal is to raise enough money to pay boarding costs for a month for just one of our dogs!
Boarding is not our first choice for our dogs, but it's a great option to make our huskies safe until they can get into a foster or forever homes. Our boarding partners are FABULOUS and the dogs get a LOT of playtime during the day.
The cover picture is of Bingo and Xaden (also known as Hachi), at daycare at the Dogtopia at Alamo Ranch in San Antonio. They had a blast while they were there, but we were so glad to find them forever homes with a new pack.
Winkle is enjoying daily walks with his best friend, Howard, and learning some leash manners too. See his profile at https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/44671389-carrollton-texas-siberian-husky
Skylar found a foster home, where she is currently awaiting her forever home, but she spent several weeks in boarding until a home was available. Check out her profile at: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/44991028-carrollton-texas-siberian-husky
Polo is currently in medical boarding while he recovers from his neuter surgery. TXHR ALWAYS spays and neuters our adoptable adult dogs, but they get the BEST care while recovering, even if they don't have the advantage of a foster home. He's so new, we don't have his profile yet, but stay tuned for more info on our social media page.
Bingo benefited from regular excursions with one of our volunteers, and REALLY enjoyed the pupcups at Starbucks (conveniently located in the same complex as Dogtopia!)
Her sister Bluey also spent time at Dogtopia and was our Fiesta medal model in her spare time.
Cloud enjoyed his outings and his playtime too! He was one exhausted puppy at the end of the day, but he's happy in his forever home now!
Please consider donating for the dogs in boarding now, and the ones still to come!
