General Sorrengail & the Battle for the Eight
$12,400 Raised
Since 2009, Texas Husky Rescue has saved 2,750 Siberian Huskies — each one with a story, a past, and a future worth fighting for.
Every dog who comes to us arrives with their own kind of heartbreak. Some are scared and unsure. Some are sick or in pain. Others have simply never known what it feels like to be safe. What they all share is this: they deserve a chance to heal, to be understood, and to be loved.
Our volunteers and foster families open their homes to huskies who have nowhere else to go. We care for seniors who have been overlooked, dogs recovering from neglect or cruelty, and those with medical needs that shelters cannot support. We give them time, patience, and the gentle reassurance that their lives matter.
And slowly, they begin to trust again. They learn that hands can be kind. They rediscover play. They learn how to be a dog.
Your support makes that possible.
Rising veterinary costs, emergency medical care, heartworm treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, and boarding for dogs without foster placement — these are the realities of rescue. Adoption fees cover only a small portion of what it takes to give each husky the care they deserve.
Today, we’re asking you to take one simple, meaningful action: make a gift that helps us say “yes” to the next dog who needs us. Your donation provides safety, medical care, and a path to a loving home for the Huskies who have nowhere else to turn.
Give today. Be the reason the next 2,750 dogs get their second chance.
TXHR was formed in May 2009 to help save homeless, abused, and neglected huskies and adopt them into permanent and loving forever homes. We are a 501(c)3 organization run entirely by volunteers with no paid staff or shelter.
#SaveMoreHuskies #PowerOfThePack
Our medical costs have increased due to the cost of living and other economic impacts. Routine vetting costs more, and specialized surgery and rehabilitation have also skyrocketed. We rely on fosters, but oftentimes, the medical requirements exceed our foster's ability for care, so need money for specialized medical care and extended stays in vet offices. We have some dogs needing behavioral modification requiring careful and professional training, which is time-consuming and expensive. In addition, in some cases, fosters are not immediately available, and our dogs need to spend time in boarding.
Texas Husky Rescue requires funds to continue our mission of rescuing Siberian Huskies in Texas. Additional funds also allow us to focus on huskies with medical or behavioral issues, including seniors and cruelty cases, that would otherwise be euthanized in area shelters. All fundraising proceeds directly benefit huskies in need throughout Texas by allowing us to do what we do best - rescue and rehabilitate Siberians and place them with their FOREVER FAMILIES!! Families who will love them FOREVER!!
To rescue, rehabilitate, and find qualified loving homes for neglected, abused, and unwanted Huskies throughout Texas. To educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the special qualities of the Siberian Husky Breed.
