William's PFW fundraiser

I am a member of the Paper for Water Change Makers Council. Paper for Water is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness of the world water crisis through the art of origami. To date, Paper for Water has raised over $3 million and helped fund over 300 water projects in 20 countries around the world. I volunteer for Paper for Water because it allows me to have fun and to use my talents to benefit communities in need. Water is a basic need that no one can live without, yet 1 in 7 people lack access to clean water.     

This summer I had the opportunity to visit several of our water projects in Kenya and see firsthand the transformative power of clean water. These water projects are especially important for children who bear an outsized burden of unclean water. Children in the communities we served had the opportunity to go to school, didn't get sick, and had the time to play and have fun.
