Support Annie's Place Pavilion

It was an honor to serve on the planning committee for the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground and to watch this special place become a reality in our community. But one of my favorite parts has been seeing how the playground continues to teach and inspire long after it was built.

Through To Be Like Me, hundreds of students and teachers have visited the playground to learn about the seven principles of universal design and see firsthand what it looks like to create a space where people of all abilities can participate, play, and belong.

Now, we have an opportunity to build on that vision with Annie’s Place Pavilion, a gathering space adjacent to the playground.

Annie’s Place will provide a welcoming place for families and friends to gather, rest, and connect while enjoying the playground. It will also serve as a wonderful outdoor learning space for the students and teachers who visit each year, giving us a place to gather, learn, and talk about why universally designed spaces matter.
