Goal

We are on a heartfelt mission to raise $175,000 to build a beautiful Pavilion to be named "Annie's Place," that will enhance the inclusive playground named in memory of Ann Eisemann — a beloved woman whose passion for community and compassion for all children helped make the playground a reality. Located adjacent to the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground in Cottonwood Park, Richardson, this final addition will honor her legacy by expanding the joy, comfort, and connection the playground already brings to countless families.

The pavilion will be more than a shelter. It will be a space for parents and grandparents to rest as they watch their children laugh and play. It will offer teachers a welcoming outdoor classroom, provide cover from the Texas sun and spring rains, and serve as a special place for families of all abilities to come together for picnics, birthday parties, and quiet moments of connection.

Since 1985, our Rotary Club — fondly known as the “fun” club — has made it our mission to give back to the Richardson community through meaningful, sustainable projects. In 2019, with generous support from donors like you, we proudly opened the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground — a joyful, accessible space that welcomes children of all abilities. That project, over a million dollars strong, became our signature achievement. But we’re not quite done.

With your help this North Texas Giving Day, we hope to raise $30,000 of our overall goal of $175,000 to complete the final phase of our vision. This beautiful pavilion will not be just a pavilion. It’s a promise — that every child deserves to play, that every family deserves a place to gather, and that Ann’s spirit will live on in laughter, learning, and love.

With your support, we can MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. And in late spring or early summer 2026, we hope you’ll join us as we cut the ribbon on this beautiful pavilion — a space built by community, for community.

Matching Grant:

To help us reach our goal, a $15,000 matching gift has been made by an anonymous donor. Their generosity means that for every dollar raised will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000 during our NTGD campaign. Your donation would be doubled making your support all the greater and impactful.

Giving Activity

Mission

Achieving lasting impact through a collaborative culture of service.

Through partnership, compassion, and shared purpose, we bring together individuals and organizations to meet the evolving needs of our community. By working hand in hand, we aim to create meaningful change that endures for generations.

Needs

Every child deserves a place to play, to belong, and to be seen. "Annies Place" will be more than just a pavilion — it will be a symbol of love, inclusion, and community. It will offer comfort to parents, shade to children, and a place where teachers can inspire young minds in the open air. Most importantly, it will be a space where everyone, regardless of ability, can come together and feel at home.

To bring this vision to life, we need more than donations — we need hearts willing to give. Your generosity will help us build the final piece of a dream that began with the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground and continues with this lasting tribute to a woman who believed every child matters.

Join us. Let’s finish this story together — and give families a place to gather, grow, and celebrate life.

With your help, the pavilion at the Ann Eisemann Inclusive Playground can become a reality.

Equity Statement

At Rotary, we understand that cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is essential to realizing our vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.

We believe a stronger, kinder community begins with making space for every voice, every story, and every person. Our vision of lasting change is rooted in compassion, connection, and the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive — no matter who they are or where they come from.

We celebrate the rich diversity of our community — in age, ability, background, culture, faith, and lived experience. These differences are not just welcomed — they are essential. They shape how we serve, how we grow, and how we build meaningful, lasting partnerships across the communities we serve and beyond.

Recognizing that individuals from certain groups have historically experienced barriers to membership, participation, and leadership, we commit to advancing equity in all aspects of Rotary, including in our community partnerships, so that each person has the necessary access to resources, opportunities, networks, and support to thrive.

This is not just a box to check - it's a journey. And we are committed to walking it with integrity, honesty, humility, and a heart wide open to learning and change.

Why? Because when everyone is included, we all walk and rise together.
