$1,000 goal

I am a member of the Paper for Water Change Makers Council. Paper for Water is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness of the world water crisis through the art of origami. To date, Paper for Water has raised over $3 million and helped fund over 300 water projects in 20 countries around the world. I volunteer for Paper for Water because it allows me to have fun and to use my talents to benefit communities in need. Water is a basic need that no one can live without, yet 1 in 7 people lack access to clean water.

This spring I had the opportunity to work on an origami installation at the Galleria Mall. The project was not only fulfilling but also beautiful. Just after we installed the installation I stood beneath it marveling at its beauty. This is why I volunteer for paper for water: My beautiful art can bring joy to those in North Texas and clean water to people around the world.

Today I’d like to ask you to help me reach my goal of raising $1000 for Paper for Water for North Texas Giving Day (September 18). Please join us to help provide clean water and sanitation access to the people who desperately need it right now. Many of you work at a company that will match your gift to Paper for Water. If you’d like help making sure that your gift is matched by your company, please email Paper for Water at info@paperforwater.org.

Thank you,
