A New Life in Christ Found Locally

There will never be enough words to express the gratitude that I have for Community Seeds. Before I stumbled into the doors of this ministry, I was broken and hopeless. Exhausted from a long journey of relationships with abusive men, drug abuse, homelessness, and heartache, I found myself aimlessly walking through life in constant pain from the bad decisions I had made. Then, on December 12, 2012, I met two people at Community Seeds who were unlike anyone I have ever met. The Coopers did not judge my lifestyle or turn their back on my needs. Instead, they welcomed me with open arms and introduced me to a loving God. That cold December night I was given much more than warm clothes by Community Seeds, I was given a new life in Jesus Christ. 

For the past 11 years, I have been lovingly guided through life's challenges by Community Seeds. They have built my confidence as a woman, a friend, a daughter, and a mother. When I thought that I was not smart enough to do anything with my life, they encouraged me to go to school. Without their support, I never would've known that I was capable enough to make it on the President's List twice for outstanding grades, can get my BSN, or to have a steady and fulfilling career as a nurse. Without their encouragement, I never would have dreamed that I would be a manager in a rapidly growing clinic that gets to encourage and teach other nurses. Without their kindness, I never would've had my family's forgiveness and regained a loving and trusting relationship with them. Without Community Seeds, my two children never would have known their mother. My favorite thing about the Coopers and this ministry is that they are such humble servants of God, they always ensure that God gets all the glory! 

Thank you Community Seeds for saving my life! Because you showed me the love that Jesus Christ has for a sinner like me, you have forever changed my heart which affects my children, my children's children, and so forth. I am so thankful that my kids and I get the opportunity to volunteer at Community Seeds so that they too can learn to be a "seed sower" for Christ.
