Community Seeds

A nonprofit organization

Mission

To operate as a clearing house for area churches, to serve the economically disadvantaged and under-served people of our area with emergency assistance and programs to empower and encourage them to become self-sufficient.

Needs

The cost of living in our community is rising faster than wages, making it harder for people to maintain stability. As a result, we are facing a growing housing crisis. Every day, more and more people are being forced to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table. We need your help to keep people in their homes and prevent them from becoming homeless.

No matter how small your donation may seem, it can make a big difference in the life of someone in need. A $10 donation can help keep someone from being homeless for a week. A $25 donation can prevent a family from going without electricity for a month. A $100 donation can help a family stay in their home for three months.

Together, we can make a difference.

By donating to our organization, you can help us make a difference in the lives of people in our community. We are committed to providing essential services to those in need, and your donation will help us continue our work.

Specifically, your donation will help us:

Provide rent assistance to low-income families that are now struggling to pay rent

Help families pay for utilities, such as heat and electricity, so that they can remain in their homes.

Remodel and improve our community spaces, so that they are safe and welcoming for everyone.

Thank you for your support! Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Equity Statement

We believe that everyone deserves to have access to the resources they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life. We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive organization that serves all members of our community, regardless of their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, disability, or other factors. We believe that equity means that everyone has the same opportunities to succeed. This means that we must address the systemic barriers that prevent people from accessing the resources they need. We will do this by:

-Providing culturally competent services. We will ensure that our services are sensitive to the needs of all members of our community.

-Recruiting and retaining a diverse staff. We believe that a diverse staff is essential to providing equitable services.

-Addressing implicit bias. We will work to identify and address implicit bias in our organization.

-Measuring our progress. We will track our progress toward equity and make adjustments as needed.

We believe that equity is essential to creating a just and equitable society.

We are committed to working towards equity in all aspects of our organization.
