Chefsville's story began back in 2006 when chef and educator Chef Scott Horwitz decided to create Chefsville to give children real-world experience in the Culinary field as well as ties to its real-world application in academics.

Chef Scott started in Public Libraries and then moved to doing programs in Park and Recreation Centers in the DFW area and 2008 he started doing After School Cooking Clubs that combined cooking skills with Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.

Since the start of Chefsville, we are now in the Dallas ISD, Allen ISD, Plano ISD, Wylie ISD, and we service the cities Parks and Recreation Centers of Fort Worth, The Colony, Grapevine, Wylie, Plano, Richardson, Garland, and Carrollton.

As Chefsville was beginning to grow, then the Pandemic hit, and we were not able to fulfill our contracts with the ISDs and Park and Recreation Centers.  We are still trying to recoup what was lost during the Pandemic.

We have more In School Time programs in the works and we believe to best is yet to come for Chefsville.

Your donation will be greatly appreciated!!
