Leyla's Fundraiser for Dallas United Crew

        I started rowing for Dallas United Crew (DUC) this year as a freshman at Bishop Lynch. At first, I was reluctant. I did the trial week and it changed everything. Once we got on the water, everything changed. It was extremely fun and the temperature felt amazing when on the water. It changes your whole mind set on the water being with nature and focusing on the team. After the trial week, I joined officially. I have made several friends in a sport I never thought I would that also go to my school at different grade levels which has made freshman year easy to transition at a new school. I am able to participate in a wonderful sport like crew thru DUC  due to the scholarships and/financial aid given out from your contributions. The contributions not only help students participate it also allows for the crew to obtain new equipment needed like ergs,  boats, and oars for everyone to achieve utmost safety on the water.
