DFWMA Doubles Down for NTX Giving Day

Every DFWMA musician starts the same way: instrument case in hand, standing in a rehearsal hall, wondering if this is a place they belong.

This year, that's true for 20 students — the founding cohort of a youth symphony built for DFW musicians age 19 and under, in communities where a seat in a youth symphony isn't something every family can simply buy a ticket for.

That's the whole point. DFWMA exists to empower diverse young DFW creatives from all backgrounds through equitable access to high-quality performing arts education. We don't ask kids to find their way to classical music — we bring classical music to them: free rehearsals, a stage, and a community that says your music matters here. Students bring their own instruments; we provide the training, the ensemble, and the concert hall.

None of that happens without people like you — including people who are meeting DFWMA for the first time on this page.

Our very first campaign raised $1,741, and every dollar went straight into private instrumental lessons for our first students. That gift became this symphony.

This North Texas Giving Day, we're doubling down. Our goal is $3,000, and every dollar raised between now and midnight on September 17, 2026, goes directly toward keeping DFWMA's doors open to any young musician who wants in.

This is DFWMA's very first North Texas Giving Day.
