Ms. Ricq's Fundraiser - Support FIRST GEN!

Create + Collaborate (C+Co) is a Fort Worth-based nonprofit that helps first-generation college students not just get to college, but stay there and thrive. Founded in 2020 — starting with one student and an Amazon wishlist — C+Co now supports students through fully furnished dorms (Dorm Ready), a 12-week freshman transition program (Fit for the Future), and an 8-week senior leadership program (Next Level Leadership). To date, we've distributed 4,400+ dorm essentials across 41 colleges.

Why I'm fundraising: As a first-generation college graduate myself, I know firsthand how the gap between getting into college and actually succeeding there can derail even the most driven students — not from lack of ability, but lack of support. Every dollar raised goes directly toward closing that gap: furnishing a dorm room, funding a leadership cohort, or giving a student the mentorship that got me through. I'm not asking you to fund a program — I'm asking you to invest in students who are ready to lead, if we just remove the barriers in their way.
