D'Ann's Quispicanchi Project Fundraiser!

Join my North Texas Giving Day campaign to support the Quispicanchi Project founded by my oldest son, Dr. Michael Riemer.  Michael began this journey during his tenure in Community Service and Social Justice at Jesuit College Prep, where one of his responsibilities was to accompany students on an annual summer immersion trip to Peru -  the purpose of which was to be in the culture, its rich heritage and traditions, and with the people in the midst of their lives and needs. During the course of about 6 years, Michael listened and learned from the people at the Parrish where he and the students stayed and worked, from the special needs school and its staff, from local efforts to provide food to the school in the mountains.  The Parrish provides a safe space for the most vulnerable.  One day he was asked, "Can you help us?"  And, as Michael tells his supporters now, "When someone asks that question, the answer is always, yes."  And so, the Quispicanchi Project was born.  The project is not "Michael's project", it belongs to the people of Peru.  It is a vehicle to empower its people - to improve nutrition, health, education, and human rights in the rural communities of southern Peru. I'm asking you for a gift that will help provide essential resources and long-term support to families striving for a better future. Together, we can make a lasting impact—one life, one village at a time. 

I have a personal goal of raising $2,000 towards the Quispicanchi Project's overall goal of $24,000. All funds raised through North Texas Giving Day 2025 will directly support nutrition programs which provide a daily meal for over 150 children and families, our annual dental campaign which provides critical and often life-saving treatments to over 300 local individuals, human rights education and advocacy, and more!

A donation of just $55 can provide nutritious, protein rich meals for a child for one month, allowing that child to focus in school, learn, and look forward to a healthy future.
