There is a question we get asked almost every single day. "Can you take one more?"
One more dog sitting in a shelter who has run out of time.
One more litter of puppies who suddenly has nowhere to go.
One more senior who was loved for ten years and then, somehow, ended up without a home.
One more cat who needs a surgery that costs thousands of dollars before we even know where that money is going to come from.
Sometimes, it isn't one though. Earlier this year, it was 33.
When we were asked to help during a devestating fire involving 90 dogs, we couldn't turn away. We had hundreds depending on us already, unpaid bills on the table, animals short on food…but we took 33 of them anyways.
And of those 33, some were infested with parasites, some needed MAJOR medical treatment, some even needed orthopedic surgery. All of a sudden, there were 33 new animals depending on us for life. It would have been very easy to say we couldn't do it.
But we said yes. And somehow, because people like you continued to show up for us, we figured out the rest.
That's really what North Texas Giving Day means to us. It's not just about hitting a generic fundraising goal. It's about being able to answer that question again tomorrow.“Can you take one more?”

This year, we’re trying to raise $65,000.
We know that's a big number, but we've become a big rescue because the need has become even bigger.
Since 2018, more than 15,000 animals have come through our doors. And right now, hundreds of those animals are still depending on us for everything. Foo
d. Vaccines. Heartworm treatment. Spay and neuter surgeries. Emergency vet visits. Hospital stays. Medications. Foster supplies. Rehabilitation.
Sometimes it's a $20 need. Other times, it's a $5,000 emergency.
We don't get to choose which it is...we just have to ready when it happens.
That's what your North Texas Giving Day gift gives us. The ability to be ready.
GIVE TO SAVING HOPE RESCUE
More than 15,000 times, someone has said YES.
Of the thousands that have passed through our doors since 2018, some came to us tiny enough to fit in one hand. Some came with gray faces after spending their entire lives with someone else. Some were sick, some were injured, some were terrified.
All that to say, each one of them all came here differently, but somewhere along the way, someone made their second chance possible.
A foster opened their home. A volunteer drove across town. A supporter shared a post. A donor gave $10. Someone we'll probably never meet decided to do something.
All those seemingly small things changed a life. And then another. And another. And another. Until we reached 15,000 saved. That's how we know it's possible for the smallest act of kindness to make a difference. Because we've witnessed it. Over and over and over again.

ases and shelter animals we’re taking in everyday, our team is also preparing to open a place very special to us. A place we want to share with you.
Our Huckabee Healing House.
This house...is to be our sanctuary for seniors. A safe place for them to spend the rest of their days gently and kindly. We’ve started construction and the infrastructure for a future veterinary clinic at the Rescue Ranch is already in place.
Designed to support both our animals and the people who care for them, the building includes:
- 10 large indoor/outdoor animal suites
- A dedicated grooming room
- Commercial washer and dryer
- Expanded supply storage
- Flexible training space
- A dedicated meeting room
- Laundry, maintenance, and operational storage areas
As we’ve said all too many times before…there WILL be more animals that need us. More medical cases. More seniors. More emergencies. This is one of the ways we can ensure we have not only the space to take them in, but a space that is comforting and healing for a senior dog.
