All funds raised through North Texas Giving Day will be donated to the JPS Oncology & Infusion Center, in loving memory of Frank S. Testa
The JPS Foundation is proud to dedicate this year's North Texas Giving Day to the memory of our dear friend and former Board Member, Frank S. Testa. Frank served on the JPS Foundation Board of Directors from 2023 to 2025 and was a passionate advocate for our patients throughout his tenure. Earlier this year, Frank courageously battled cancer and passed away in May. We honor his legacy and the compassion he brought to everything he did.
Hope in Every Treatment: Supporting Cancer Care at JPS
JPS Health Network is a nationally recognized provider of high-quality cancer care. The JPS Oncology & Infusion Center (OIC), accredited by the American College of Surgeons, provides compassionate and comprehensive care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the OIC team of physicians, nurses, clinicians, and support team members ensures that every patient facing a cancer diagnosis receives the best possible chance at a healthy life—including cancer treatment, patient navigators, side-effect management, emotional support, and chronic condition care. This coordinated model improves health outcomes and allows patients to focus on healing in a safe, controlled setting.
Meeting the Rising Need
Each year, more than 8,900 new cancer cases are diagnosed in Tarrant County, and an increasing number of those patients are turning to JPS Health Network for care. In 2024 alone, JPS provided compassionate, comprehensive support to 21,314 unique patients battling cancer, delivering over 95,000 treatment encounters through our OIC. This growing demand reflects the trust our community places in JPS and the critical role we play in ensuring access to high-quality cancer care for all.
Creating a Supportive Space for Treatment
At JPS, we understand that healing goes beyond medicine. That’s why our OIC is designed to offer a warm, welcoming environment for patients receiving chemotherapy or other infusions.
While small touches, like a television, a private space, or a room for a loved one, may seem minor, they make a meaningful difference. Patients spend long hours in treatment rooms, and having space for a family member or friend to sit beside them helps ease the emotional burden of cancer care.
This kind of social support is not only comforting—it is also linked to better treatment outcomes, fewer negative symptoms, greater resilience, and an improved quality of life.
JPS Health Network is Transforming Healthcare Delivery in Tarrant County
Will you join us in supporting patients facing cancer diagnosis and treatment?
The JPS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money to provide goods and services to continue to make JPS Health Network a regional and national leader in transforming healthcare delivery. Our three pillars of giving are our patients, our community, and our team members.
As the county’s essential hospital, JPS provides healthcare to all Tarrant County residents, regardless of their ability to pay. While government funding plays a role in helping us fulfill that commitment, the JPS Foundation raises funds to fill the gap between that funding and the additional resources needed to provide the high-quality care our patients deserve.
There are funding needs at every donation level and each one makes a HUGE difference in the lives of our patients.
