Fund 20 More Garland ISD Teacher Grants
$0 Raised
The Garland ISD Education Foundation (GEF) funds classroom grants and continuing education scholarships for teachers and staff in Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse.
Every year, Garland ISD teachers bring us hundreds of ideas they can’t pay for on their own. An outdoor hammock reading garden where elementary students take a book outside and read under the trees. A crime-scene lab for a high school forensic science class. A bike shop where 3rd through 5th graders learn to repair donated bikes, then give them to kids who need one. Hands-on training equipment so career and technical students can practice real healthcare skills before they graduate.
We fund as many of those ideas as we can. In more than 30 years, GEF has invested over $5 million in Garland ISD, including more than $500,000 in grants and scholarships in the 2025–26 school year alone.
We also invest in the people leading those classrooms. Our scholarships help teachers earn advanced degrees and certifications, and help classroom aides finish the bachelor’s degree that will make them teachers.
Your gift on North Texas Giving Day goes straight to Garland ISD teachers and the students they serve.
The Garland ISD Education Foundation creates and fosters partnerships with the community to generate funds that support the education of Garland ISD students and positively impact the future. Our vision: enrich education and reward innovation.
Teachers ask for everything from colored pencils to VR headsets, and many requests are under $500. Your gift goes further than you might think:
$50 helps complete a classroom supply request
$250 helps a first-year teacher set up a welcoming classroom
$750 funds a scholarship for a paraprofessional working toward a teaching degree
$1,000 fully funds a classroom grant
$2,000 funds a grade-level or department grant
$3,000 funds a campus-wide or district-wide grant
Gifts of every size are pooled to fund as many teacher grants as possible.
