Phase One of Segue Living Center's activities include but without limitation to
- providing support services to sheltered families at the local shelter (estimated 100 people per month);
- participating in the annual Point in Time Count with Partnership Home (PH) and the Arlington Police Department, except during pandemic or as allowed by PH;
- conducting quarterly community events/fundraisers benefiting families;
- collaborating and supporting community partners on community projects and events for families.
- and providing emergency assistance like rent, utilities, transportation, and basic living essentials to families through Segue Living Center's H.O.M.E. sm, H.elping O.thers M.eet E.xpenses, program.
Phase Two of Segue Living Center's activities will be a state of the art facility that houses and provides families with children with support services, for example, family counseling and medical services, at no cost for six months to a year.
Segue Living Center's mission is to provide an emergency and extended homeless prevention program, H.O.M.E.sm (H.elping O.thers M.eet E.xpenses), support services, and an emergency shelter for families and single parents with children in a faith-based environment.
Currently, Segue Living Center's needs $50K in funding for
- monthly support services to sheltered families at the local shelter, $5K annually;
- emergency assistance for eligible families through the HOMEsm, H.elping O.thers M.eet E.xpenses, fund, $15K annually;
- computer and peripheral equipment, $5K;
- administrative supplies and services, $5K;
- a new cargo van (Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit Connect, or Ram 1500 ProMaster) with comprehensive automotive insurance coverage, to pick up/deliver food, furniture, and necessary supplies to families in need, $20K.
