Lighthouse School of Fort Worth vision is that all students will achieve their highest learning potential and be empowered to thrive in all aspects of life. We plan to do this by providing a barrier free, student centered, learning environment for youth with learning variability.

Lighthouse was founded on these core mission and vision statements by parents to a child with learning variability.

After years of touring and applying to local academic programs, these parents left each one feeling so defeated. It seemed each place came with some type of unbreakable barrier for a child who simply learned differently. With the help of behavior analysts, community professionals, and specialized therapists, Lighthouse School will break these barriers that are so often presented to children with learning variability. Lighthouse School has set the foundation to serve all learners throughout their educational journey. Lighthouse School has created a safe, inclusive space for our community’s children and their families.

We are a beacon of hope for children who may learn differently or for a family that may feel lost in the education journey.

Needs

At Lighthouse School of Fort Worth, every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and celebrated. Many of our students are on the autism spectrum or have unique learning differences, and for them, experiences beyond the classroom are just as important as those within it. This North Texas Giving Day, we’re raising funds to purchase a bus that will allow our students to go on field trips, community outings, and learning adventures together. With your help, we can open the doors to new opportunities and create lasting memories for our kids.
