Preserve Hope: $50K for Fertility Futures
$8,870 Raised
Kate’s Cause exists to provide financial assistance for fertility preservation to young women undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring that a cancer diagnosis doesn’t take away their chance to have a family in the future.
Young women facing cancer are often forced to make impossible decisions in a matter of days. Many cancer treatments can impact or permanently destroy fertility, yet fertility preservation procedures such as egg retrieval and storage are frequently not covered by insurance and can cost thousands of dollars upfront, with ongoing storage fees afterward. For many patients, these costs come at a time when they are already overwhelmed emotionally, physically, and financially by a cancer diagnosis. Kate’s Cause exists to help remove this barrier so that financial circumstances do not determine whether a woman has the opportunity to preserve her hope of building a family after treatment.
Kate’s Cause is committed to advancing equitable access to fertility preservation for young women facing cancer treatment. Too often, the ability to preserve fertility before life-saving treatment depends not on medical need, but on financial resources, insurance coverage, or access to supportive care. We believe no woman should have to choose between the treatment that may save her life and the hope of building a future family. Through financial assistance and advocacy, we work to reduce these barriers and expand access for those facing this difficult journey.
