Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard is a unique and special PreK-8th grade campus in West Dallas. We provide a dual language education for our students in grades Kinder-5th grade. Our school also provides students with rigorous academics while promoting an understanding and appreciation of the arts. Our Arts Magnet is for grades 4-8, and consists of premiere instruction and preparation in dance, visual arts, theatre arts, orchestra, band and piano. Students receive the necessary preparation to participate in the application and audition process for any high school, specifically Booker T Washington HSPVA. All Moroles students receive a strong academic education in math, reading, writing and social studies. Our school is a Title I school, which indicates that more than 40% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our student body is comprised of more than 90% minority students.

The Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard PTO is comprised of parents, school staff and community members who desire to support our school and it’s students. Our goal is to raise funds, which will be used to improve the educational and arts programming at our school.

Giving Activity

Mission

The Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard PTO is a 501c3 non profit organization whose purpose is to build and encourage community by partnering with the teachers, students and their families at Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard - a DISD public school in West Dallas. We will support and promote the educational and physical welfare of the students and staff, enabling them to succeed academically and to gain an understanding and appreciation for the arts.

Needs

At Moroles, a Pre-K3 through 8th grade Title I DISD public school, every student deserves the tools and opportunities to thrive. This North Texas Giving Day, we are raising funds to improve resources that benefit our entire campus — including new auditorium seating, upgraded lighting and sound, updated PE equipment, and essential improvements for our nurse’s office. Your support helps ensure that all of our children, whether in the dual language, Vanguard, or general programs, have access to a safe, creative, and inspiring learning environment.
