A Safe Place to Land

Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. (Healing, Encouraging, and Restoring Troubled Spirits) is a faith-based North Texas nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women aging out of foster care by providing the support, stability, and opportunities they need to build successful, independent lives.
We believe every young woman deserves more than a place to live. She deserves a safe place to call home, trusted people to walk beside her, and the encouragement to discover her purpose and reach her full potential.
Our primary initiative, the A.C.T. (Addressing Critical Transitions) Transitional Housing Program, provides more than temporary shelter. It offers a safe, nurturing home where young women can heal from past trauma, pursue education and employment, strengthen financial and independent-living skills, build healthy relationships, and prepare for a future filled with hope, purpose, and opportunity.
In addition to our housing program, Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. operates the A.C.T. Crisis Stabilization Program, providing immediate support and stabilization for young women facing unexpected life crises. Whether responding to housing insecurity, emergency needs, or other critical transitions, this program connects participants with essential resources, advocacy, referrals, and compassionate support while helping them take the next step toward long-term stability. A portion of this campaign budget is dedicated to ensuring these critical services remain available throughout the year.
Through mentorship, life-skills education, individualized case management, wellness resources, and strong community partnerships, Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. equips young women with the tools, confidence, and support needed to achieve lasting independence.
We believe lasting change happens when communities come together. Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. proudly partners with child welfare professionals, the courts, faith communities, businesses, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and local leaders to strengthen the network of support available to young people transitioning into adulthood.
In July 2026, we were honored to partner with Judge Delia Gonzales, the Dallas County Child Protection and Permanency Court, Harvest Family Life Ministries, and other community organizations for Project Graduation, a celebration recognizing the resilience, accomplishments, and promising futures of young people connected to the child welfare system.
We're here, WE CARE, and together, we're building brighter futures, one heart at a time.

Our Most Urgent Needs: Creating a Safe Place to Land
Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. is preparing to open our first A.C.T. (Addressing Critical Transitions) Transitional Home, where young women aging out of foster care will find more than housing. They'll find safety, stability, support, and hope for a brighter future.
To create a welcoming home and provide the services our residents need to thrive, we're seeking support in these priority areas:
Monthly sponsors to sustain the A.C.T. Transitional Housing Program
Home furnishings and household essentials to fully equip our five-bedroom, three-bathroom transitional home
Trauma-informed counseling and mental wellness services
A vehicle to provide reliable transportation for school, employment, medical appointments, and life-skills activities
Emergency assistance funding for the **A.C.T. Crisis Stabilization Program, providing immediate support for young women facing unexpected hardships.
Every gift helps provide the housing, resources, encouragement, and compassionate care young women need as they transition from uncertainty to confidence and independence.

Every Gift Makes a Difference
At Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S., we believe every young woman deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and build a future filled with hope. We are committed to fostering a culture of dignity, respect, compassion, and belonging where every individual is valued, heard, and empowered to reach her fullest potential.
We recognize that many young women aging out of foster care have experienced trauma, instability, and significant barriers to achieving independence. Access to safe housing, education, employment, healthcare, transportation, and supportive relationships should not be determined by life circumstances. Through trauma-informed, wraparound care, we work to remove barriers, expand opportunities, and provide the support needed to help each young woman thrive.
Our commitment to equity means meeting every participant where she is with compassion, without judgment, and with unwavering belief in her potential. We celebrate the unique strengths, experiences, and aspirations of every young woman we serve while cultivating an environment where she feels safe, respected, and empowered to succeed.
At Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S., equity is more than a principle; it is reflected in every relationship we build, every resource we provide, and every opportunity we create.
Together, we're creating a safe place to land and brighter futures, one heart at a time.
