Plano Civic Chorus is known for its consistent choral excellence. Under the direction of Dr. Randall Hooper, Artistic Director and Conductor, the 100-member auditioned chorus has established itself as one of premiere arts groups in North Texas. The chorus's broad repertoire ranges from the songs of the Broadway stage to the great masterworks of the classical composers. The chorus performs regularly with the Plano Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Richardson Symphony Orchestra, and Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

Our Needs

The organization's 100+ singers annually present a season of three or four unique programs, frequently in collaboration with the Plano Symphony Orchestra and other arts groups in the North Texas area.
Funding is requested for:
1. Support to defray costs of venue rental, printing, advertising, and outreach.
2. To sponsor a local composer in residence and culturally diverse compositions.
3. Pursuit of youth interested in the choral arts and more inclusion of diverse age groups, the physically challenged, and ethnicities.
4. Support for master classes and music education seminars for our members, music teachers, and students within the community, by visiting artists and music professionals.

Mission

Our mission is to enrich the North Texas community by performing great choral masterpieces and exceptional modern choral works. We are dedicated to offering fulfilling musical experiences for audiences and opportunities for singers to express and improve their artistry.

Equity Statement

Plano Civic Chorus practices diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination in regard to membership, staff, leadership, audiences, resources, and supporters.
