Our Needs
Natural Environments, Promising Futures
This year, our Annual Giving Campaign is about both enhancing the experiences our students have today and strengthening White Rock Montessori for the future.
“When children come into contact with nature, they reveal their strength”
As Maria Montessori understood, engagement with the natural world is a critical part of a child’s development, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Natural environments give students meaningful opportunities to care for animals, connect with nature, and practice responsibility. They develop gross motor skills and refine their balance and strength; they observe and express curiosity in plants and animals; they develop empathy for living beings by caring for animals.
We’re raising funds to improve the outdoor spaces that make our school so special, including replacing our aging chicken coop, repairing and refreshing our outdoor buildings, and building a new goat enclosure.
A portion of this year’s gifts will also support the long-term financial health of White Rock Montessori through contributions to our endowment and reserves, as well as ongoing building maintenance and improvements. These investments help us prepare for future needs, protect our campus, and ensure that our school remains strong and sustainable for generations of Montessori students.

White Rock Montessori serves Toddler-Middle School students in an accredited Montessori environment where opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, and academically establish a foundation for lifelong learning.
