$70,000 Goal

Wilkinson Center helps over 14,000 families a year facing critical life challenges, including food insecurity, lack of a high school diploma, limited English skills, economic instability, and unemployment.

Our success is attributed to effective individualized programming, intensive case management, a compassionate staff, dedicated volunteers, loyal supporters, and a visionary Board of Directors. All programs and services are provided free of charge and available to all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or income level.

Be the reason that a family gets groceries; a high school dropout achieves their GED; a single mother finds employment to provide for herself and her children; an immigrant learns English to succeed in their work environment; and more! Donate to Wilkinson Center on North Texas Giving Day.

During the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year, Wilkinson Center:

  • Served 14,000 Clients at our Food Pantry
  • Enrolled 1,015 Students in Adult Education courses, including 510 in high school equivalency courses on track to earn their GED
  • Helped 354 Individuals with career readiness and job searches
  • Educated 243 Students on Financial Management

Equity Statement

Wilkinson Center is deeply committed to addressing racial inequality through a diverse and inclusive work environment and programs rooted in diversity, inclusion, and racial sensitivity. We aim to better understand and address the unique challenges and systemic barriers faced by the broader community. During a recent client intake, 95% of clients who responded were BIPOC, highlighting our focus on serving all clients with dignity and respect. Recently, a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee was established, consisting of staff members from different backgrounds and leadership levels, ensuring sensitivity and equity remain a priority in leadership meetings and team settings.

Wilkinson Center actively combats underrepresentation by inviting former clients from the communities they serve to join their Board of Directors, providing valuable perspectives. We actively prioritize diversity and inclusion when hiring new talent, striving to mirror the population we serve.
